'Still Life with Pineapple'

Two years ago, photographer Diana Koenigsberg came to my studio. She wanted to do something ‘fun’, so I setup a chaotic still life scenario with stuff I had in the studio. When she sent me the photos, I kept focusing in on this particular area.

The tension between order and chaos, objects with personal histories and the broader histories, felt intriguing enough that I wanted to recreate as a painting.

The final product, now available as a limited edition print, led to a whole new body of work, based on the still life I set up for Diana’s visit. More paintings from the series below.

Now, the work comes full circle as it’s available in a limited edition of 50 signed prints.
